Hungarian Dental Travel - Testimonials (Page 2)

Shane McCann / Dublin, Ireland

Where do I start? Well, I'm 38 yrs old and from Ireland and I have disliked my teeth from about 14 years of age. They were badly out of alignment and very uneven. Everything that could have been wrong with them was wrong with them.

I had always wanted to have a nice white smile, but I that was not the case and I was very self conscious of my teeth. I avoided smiling or showing them at any cost. One day after reading a magazine article about a girl with similar looking teeth who went to Hungary for treatment, I was amazed at the before and after pictures of her teeth. I decided there and then that I was going to bite the bullet and go to have the same done.

I contacted the office of Hungarian Dental Travel in England, and arranged to go for a consultation in Hungary so that I could meet the Dentist and see the standards for myself. I must admit I was very skeptical of any Dentist’s ability to sort out my teeth as they were so bad, but I decided to keep an open mind and see how it went.

My appointment was made for me by Pat Watson at Hungarian Dental Travel, and I travelled from Dublin to Bratislava where I was met by a driver and taken to my hotel. The driver pointed out where the dental surgery was and I made my way there the next morning as it was only a short walk. Dr Szoc’s was great! He explained to me what treatment I required and was very good at explaining all of the concerns I had. I then flew back home the next day and decided that I would go ahead with the treatment a few months later.

On my second visit I had to go for 1 week. It was the same as before. I was met at the airport and was taken to my hotel, which is only a few minutes walk from the dental surgery. no hassles at all! They began the treatment on the Monday morning. I must admit that I was apprehensive that the treatment would have been very painful and I had all sorts of worries of it going wrong and lots of pain ect. I have to say in all honesty I couldn't have been more wrong. The Dentist and the assistants were brilliant.

They took their time and were very gentle, and at no time did the pain reach anymore than a 2 out of 10 level. [I was expecting about 11 out of 10 on the pain scale] . I had all my teeth prepared down to take porcelain crowns and temporary teeth were made for me. On the Friday I had them fitted. When I looked in the mirror I could not believe it, at last I was rid of the mouth full of junk that had made me so unhappy for years, they looked fantastic. It really was the best money I have ever spent, which was many thousands of pounds less that I was quoted in the UK. The Dentist that I was treated by could be described best as this, its Harley street for less than half the price. If your thinking of going but are not sure, my advice is go for the consultation at least and I promise you, you will be amazed, I know that I was.Good luck, Shane.
